How wedding venue calculator Works
The venue cost stack
Venue pricing splits into base rental (fixed) and per-guest services (catering minimums, bar packages). All-inclusive halls quote per-guest; unique spaces quote rental-plus-vendors (catering brought in, rentals arranged) — the second model is more work and often cheaper per guest, at the cost of coordination.
The day-of-week discount
Saturdays carry 20–40% premiums across venues and vendors; Fridays and Sundays discount 15–30%; weekdays deeper still. The discount buys nothing-visible-away: same room, same light (afternoon), same celebration. Guest pushback is the real cost — and it is smaller than the discount more often than couples expect.
The bar decision, honestly
Hosted full bars run $30–45/guest; beer-and-wine $15–25; dry weddings save it all and read as intentional only with excellent non-alcoholic program. The middle path — beer/wine plus two signature cocktails — delivers hospitality at 60% of full-bar cost, and the signature-cocktail line doubles as a wedding detail.
